It's a close call... what looks better?

    Notice anything different??

NO DASH EMBLEM!! My good friend on GMN here sent me an LTD dash emblem for the Deuce, and I noticed it just had double stick tape to hold it on with, so I took my paint scraper and gently slid it up under mine, and was able to pop/scrape/pry it off. The cool thing is, that there's an exact outline of where the LTD emblem goes, since it's shorter than the "LTD Crown Victoria" emblem. But you also can't really notice unless you point it out. I used the Crown Vic emblem in the picture to show the backing on the emblems...

So now I'm deciding between leaving it without the emblem, or putting my "refurbished" LTD emblem in place, which I painted to match the original dash emblem.

That was the last emblem on the car that said "Crown Victoria," and I really wanted if off of there. I hope this helps anybody that may wish to remove their emblem too!

LTD Emblem! ;but then again I may be a little biased.

I had no idea the stock LTD CV emblem was that large,I was just going by the pics I have seen, since my 87 didn't have that emblem stock. The smaller emblem definitely looks better.

Looks good slick, but theres just something about dash emblems that I love,it just adds that little extra touch to the interior.

I'm actually planning on blacking out that rectangular section on my dash w/ Semi-Gloss Black topped with clear, just to break it up a bit,and leaving the rest Fake Woodgrain.

Well... I made my decision today. I put the emblem on. I decided to clear it so it would look nicer, and keep it in better shape... and the paint cracked. Doesn't look bad though, I actually think it looks good, lol. Had the cover off (was over 60 today!) so I was able to get decent pictures of it, lol.

                      I think it looks good.

I have a super tacky cobra snake emblem on my dash (passengers side). It was something my younger brother gave me.

It looks goo though; and that interior looks super clean...

Looks good mang. Where'd you finally find one?

I can't figure the pattern on these dash emblems. My '82 has a LTD CV emblem, which makes sense it that's what it's model it. My '87 has no emblem (CV LX). My '88 has a Country Squire dash emblem, although it's not a Country Squire. Crawling around the inside of an '85 CV in the junkyard, I saw an LTD emblem like you installed. Funky.

Need the LTD Crown Victoria emblem in there. The 85 LTD was a much smaller car.

That is really nice and clean looking. Way better than the "Porno Red" in my car.

My friend Joseph had a '79 LTD wagon, the ones with the two headlight system, that had the same emblem on the dash, and ever since I've wanted one. It gives it more of the older car appeal, since the boxy Crown Victoria was evolved from the LTD. Wasn't it a submodel in the first few years of the box-bodies?

I got my emblem off of LTDman, lol. I think the grey is finally starting to grow on me too... but if I ever find one with red interior for cheap I'll do the swap.
