    How to Seats/windows?

I need to know how to get the head rest out of my seats, i cant figure it out, and the dont seem to come out like normal cars.

Also my back windows wont go down anymore, unless you help em' and thats up too, any idea figured the motor on them is trashed, btw they are electric.

Motors may not be bad, but the roller clutches in them most likely are - they are a common wear item in these cars. Pull the door panels and yank motors out, take the gearboxes apart and inspect dowels in them - if they are bad you can purchase replacements from the "help" section in many auto parts stores.

What car and which seats? There are a couple different types.

And what he said about the windows. I just rebuilt one last weekend, same issue. $8 for the pack of new rollers and its like brand new.

I know this one! Your actuators have seized, and they won't let you turn the key. So, for now, just take the panel off, and unclip the actuator from the door locking mechanism. If you can afford it now, you can buy the replacement actuators. They are actually found on the help rack. Only dilema I had was that the connector was not the same, so I had to saw off the end. It was a 'U' shape instead of an 'L' shape. stuck it in the clip and presto! Locking doors! The fastener for the actuator is riveted to the door. It's on the back of the door. You get a new fastener on the new actuator anyway. So bolt or rivet the new one in. (Plug it in first) Now you should have locking doors!

Um. Well actually... the help rack is in the autostores. But you can get the actuators from an online auto parts sites. Advanceauto.com or Autozone.com or something like that.

No clue. Out of curiosity, why are you taking them out?

There's supposed to be a tool you slide in there that will unlock it so you can pull it out, but I ain't got no clue how tool looks like or where you can get one from.

Pop off the panel on the back of the seat. All u need is a flat head screwdriver to release it and it pulls out. I'll try to get pics for ya.

Yeah, go ahead and have your seats with no headrests. Just don't get into any accidents, or you'll get a servere case of wiplash or death. There are seats without head rests. I think they were in '79. But who was in your car that could have done that? My opinon, lock the car, and if you're giving those fuckers rides, tell them to go burn penises on there ass and "ATown" on their eyes, with a xacto knife!!!
