I am probably going to do the same thing on the vic, unless I go with the wheel murph has, with the cruise control kit.

Thanks for the compliments. I still might redo it but it'll be some time because it takes forever and hurts your hands some. I know about the smoking... but you gotta love the vent windows and mega ashtray. It's pretty much always been a smoker car since we got it and I've wiped every panel inside/out and shampoo regularly so it theres no dinge, stain, or smoky odor.

I remember going over mine with black shoe polish when it was new or nearly new, just to get some of the waxes into the leather. Not good for light-colored pants, though ... maybe neutral polish would have been a better choice.

Lexol would work well, but I have this stuff called Blackfire I'll probably use since I already have it and it works well. There's a cleaner and then a protectant which doesn't smell or leave a greasy shiny residue. From what I know and have seen, Lexol is pretty much the best stuff for leather.

It is, and I have used it since detailing cars in '92. However I have some Zymol stuff now. Really good stuff.

Yep. It's the only thing that would improve the Mark VIII's leather, especially the leather on the steering wheel.
