    My New Seats

Today I put my alum. mags back on. Afetr I was done I was going to clean my interior. I decided I'd try and put the seats from our 04 parts car in my 90. Thought it would work... and it did. The int is blue, and the new seats are dark gray. I know, it doesn't match. But the news seats are very comfortable and they are like new. Some pics soon.

My old seats were starting to wear. They were faded, and after I dyed them the dye never dried (I followed the directions too). I was sick of sitting on blankets anyway...

Yeah. I just painted the arm rest inserts (and all other wood grain) charcoal graphite (a textured "Metalcast" paint). The interior is really well inegrated now. I might buy some dark grey floor mats. That would make it look almost factory.

Pics when I do a quick clean and get the interior somewhat more integrated.

Actually, I've been probably worse about getting pics of my own junk ... :p

              Seats

Didn't clean them yet... or the rest of the int. A little dirty. Also didn't get grey floor mats yet. I did the textured metalcast paint on all the door inserts. No more woodgrain. Also painted my brakes CAT yellow (free paint).

And 1987cp, what is the deal with calling your cars junk?

Hey, I'm kinda liking it. Of course, you're ending up with the same grey-tweed-in-blue-interior thing I've got, except that your rear seat matches. Are you intending to keep the seats grey and the rest of the interior blue?

Yessum. I could give a shit if it matches or not. Might try to integrate the colors a little more. It doesn't look that bad standing next to it. And also, these seats kick ass compared to the last ones. They were all faded and messed up (in comparison). These need a little cleaning, maybe today.

That's cool, nothing wrong with that. How are they in terms of being stable, firm padding, and not flexing and stuff?

Very firm. I think they'll be good for long drives. I cleaned them today. They are wearing on me.

Man those look great! I wouldn't have thought the rear seat bolted in. The rear prolly fits older cars too?

I'd assume so. The hooks and stuff were identical. Although, it has a little higher back, and you can see about .25" of foam when looking from the rear.
