It was a rather simple process. It beats pay $120.00 locally to have it installed. I did it myself and it looks great! Anyone ever need any tips, just drop me a line. It will save you as well in the long run!

The biggest tip I need is, where did you get it? I finally pulled the nasty greasy cat-pooped-on carpet from my '87, and I'd like to put nice new stuff in sometime in the relatively near future.2012 Mazda5 Touring | Finally working on the LTD again!

hehehe, maybe for the cargo area but without the bulimic strippers and the fake rhinoceros. I actually put some spray-on Duplicolor bedliner back there at one point, but it didn't stick around very long before coming up in very large chips. Guess the poor prep job didn't help.2012 Mazda5 Touring | Finally working on the LTD again!

They can get really expensive when you add mass backing, jute and floor mats.**2012 Ford Mustang Boss 302: 5.0/ 6 spd/ 3.73s, 20K Cruiser

I replaced mine from a 87 GM, just unbolt the front seats, pull the rear seat bottom, seat belts, and trim molding. Pull the old carpet out and put the new on in. The one I put in looked like a new one. Mine was tan and the new one is dark brown so I changed the door panels, belts, and the trim to match the carpet. The back seat had some cuts in it so I didn't change it. The front seats I took out of a 86 Jeep Grand Cherokee, I had to drill holes to make the seats fit, but it worked out alright. If I can find a rear seat to match, I'll change it.89 CV LX 225/60 x 16 tires, CC819 rear springs, Front & rear sway bar, trans & PS cooler from 90 cop car. KYB shocks, F-150 on rear. Dual Exhaust w/ H pipe. Dark brown door panels, carpet, steering wheel, trim parts from a 87 Mer GM. Power front buckets from 96 Jeep Cherokee. LED'S front & rear. 3G Alt from a 97 Taurus wagon 3.0. Electric fan. Rear axle from a 97 PI 3.27 with disk brakes. Headlight relays.

It would be nice to know where you got the carpet from.

Be careful with the seat bolts too. I snapped two when I had my old seats out for the first time. PB blaster used on the underside of the car works well to ease the removal of the seat and seatbelt bolts.
If you can't get the b pillar lower mounts out, I have another method which is NOT highly recommended. I had to use a torch the first time. My dad heated the bolts from under the car, and I worked them out. Yeah, it did catch the jute on fire and make a small mess. Not the best plan, but it worked. You have to replace the bolts if you use that method too. The temper may be (definitely is) disturbed by the heat.
Blaze, google auto custom carpets for replacement carpets. They are supposed to be among the best. Peter Klutt (I think thats how you spell it), the guy from Legendary Motor Car (on SPEED channel) recommends that product. I've checked them out too. Some think they're expensive, but I think its worth it.**2012 Ford Mustang Boss 302: 5.0/ 6 spd/ 3.73s, 20K Cruiser

Is "jute" that nasty tar-like substance that's stickered to parts of the floorpan?
