    E-Brake Relocation

How would I go about moving my E-Brake? I want to move it beside my seat so I can mount some 8" midbass drivers in the kicks. and not have to worry about clearance of the e-brake.

well, its just a cable so if you can mount a hand brake and figure how to re-route the cables you're set. Probably I'd run the cable from the handbrake forward and loop it back so it ends up attatching to the 2 cables that go back to the rear in the stock location. You'll have to get creative with the cables though to figure out what will work for your app.

You can get a lokar kit that will mount it under the drivers seat, its like a regular hand brake only sideways. Might be easier to run the cables that way...Not much room over the tunnel with a driveshaft and all

I've pondered this question also, though for different reasons. Mounting it on the tunnel between two bucket seats seems tempting, but as is mentioned above, may prove rather complicated. Maybe you could do something like the Lokar kit but mount it to the left of the driver's seat like on some of those European sports cars? That'd make the cable routing pretty easy.

I wonder .... I know the Lokar handle kit should be very compact; I wonder if there are readily available factory E-brake handles that would also fit over by the driver's door?
