    Where to get parts?

Hello all, thanks for the forum, should come in handy for me. I got an '87 Grand Marquis last fall. 65,000 miles, bought it from an elderly couple who bought it new. Dark blue with blue vinyl roof, 5.0L.
Very good shape, I have done AC compressor, shocks, water pump, 1 injector, and RH rear power window motor. I do need to replace these:
    Driver's door ajar switch
    Driver remote mirror joystick
Body weatherstrip where the top of the driver's door meets the body.
Any ideas on a vendor for these? Thanks!

Ford for the door switch. They're not very expensive, I think the one I bought was like 15 bucks or something.
Joystick probably junkyard, maybe you can get one new
weatherstripping, go junkyard shopping and find a nice grandma car. Its unfortunately about the only option.

You make it sound so bad,
I have found a lot of intact, clean looking Vics, Mercs, and TCs at the U-Pull-It I go to.

its not that its so horrible, but I'd like the option to buy brand new parts, especially stuff like rubber seals and all because they deteriorate with age. Figure that 20 year old door seal you're installing has been sitting getting smooshed by a door since Reagan was president. Hell it was probably in that door before a fair number of people on here were even born.

Im pretty sure he wasnt saying that the junkyard option was an unfortunate option, but that its unfortunate the parts not availiable new.
