    Dash Music (squeaking)

I've been having a problem recently, getting worse every day with a slightly musical squeaking from my dash area. At first I thought it was my new deck making the noise (some cd players make a noise when they spin up the disc and seak the laser, etc, that's pretty much what this sounds like), but then I discovered that it goes away if I turn off the HVAC controls. Further testing has confirmed this, it is NOT the deck, but is in some way related to the HVAC. Now I have had the dash apart, and know pretty much what everything looks like in there, and am stumped as to what it could be, other than maybe the blower squeaking, but it doesn't depend on fan speed....

Any ideas? Best I can figure is maybe a vacuum leak, but it's such a strange noise for a vacuum leak.

I think you're right about it being a vacuum leak. I've heard some pretty strange sounds from leaky vacuum lines.

Yeah, vacuum leak probably. Blowers usually chirp and the sound changes when you change the fan speed and stuff.

Probably one of the motors has a hole in the diaphragm.

My damn car broke the center support. I need to make a larger stronger one.
