I'd take you up on a set of tan ones! They are for the early style, correct? One of mine has already exploded, the other is ready to at any moment. And to make it worse, there are two colors of tan - Fawn and Medium Fawn.

btw, I'm open to leads on early-style multifunction switches that include the horn
Yeah the later ones had a whole different switch to go with the '83-'89 wheel. Check eBay for the multifunction switch. There was a NOS one on there a couple months ago for about $25.

It seems pretty expensive but good resto shops will fill cracks, and repair peices and then replate them. They come back like new. I haven't the means to try it yet and am leary or shipping any of my parts out to someone. Anyone tried this yet? As for the damaged leather, I'm thinking I'm going to just save up and have it repaired professionally at some point.
I've had an instrument cluster bezel for a '66 F100 done. It came back looking pretty much great. They have a factory "engine-turned" look to them and some of the turnings kind of disappeared when they sanded it down. They have to sand it some. I don't remember the name of the shop, but they were out of Hemmings Motor News.

*blink* ... you mean like placing the cruise control switches on the lower two spokes of the steering wheel rather than the upper two spokes?

And eBay'd multifunction switches, here I come ......

I had to gut the resistors from the steering wheel, then wire it in conjunction with a rocker switch. It only has 2 settings, on-/cruise/acc. I flip the switch to set cruise, and then flip it back. To shut off I just tap my brakes.

There are new buttons, they seem to look nice, it says 85-91, but they look exactly like mine, maybe different wiring than older years?

 Wow, what are the chances of something like that coming up for auction at a time like this?

I'd be curious to see a schematic of the cruise-control circuit. I don't suppose it's in the back of the ol' Haynes manual .......

What are the differences in the buttons (other than their location on the wheel) from '79 to '89 or '90 and in between?
