Is there any lights I can buy that are not "yellow", I know with house lightbulbs they have the "Soft White" bulbs that seem to have a type of coating on the inside that make them light a room up much nicer. I kind of want this look for inside of my car. Also a brighter dome light would be nice too!

white and 12volt. They are made just to plug into the light like a replacement bulb.
Most I have seen are wedge base, these can plug right into the door armrest lights and some dome lights. my 91 has wedge base courtesey lights inder the dash too but my 85 had twist in bulbs, so I just replaced them with some 194 wedge base sockets so i could use these bulbs.
search ebay for "(906,912) white LED" and "white dome LED" and "194 LED" etc. I have a thread around here about what style to getPete ::::>>> resident LED addict and CFI defector LED bulb replacements

I am thinking now of some white LED bars for under the dash, that would be super bright if someone opened the doors. I would hide them so you wouldn't see the lights, all you would see is the floor light up when I turn on the interior lights or when someone opens the door. Now I just need to think of something for the dome lights. I am always dropping shit on the floors too, maybe this will help me out some. I may put some under the front and rear of the seats as well. I have no courtesy lamps in the doors.
edit--
this makes me almost want to hide some in the trunk too, I hate opening the trunk trying to set the gains on my amp and I can't see anything.Last edited by saiyaneye; 03-03-2007, 06:53 AM.

The white LEDs are bright but they have a bit of a blue tint to them. Its not bad but its definitely not the same color light as a house light bulb. They're also somewhat directional so you have to be careful about placement depending on the design. You might end up with just a dot of light. The 5 LED wedge type work well, they have 4 aiming out the sides and one pointing straight out.86 Lincoln Town Car (Galactica).

they have 9 flat-LED towers now to replace 912 bulbs - those have 360 degrees of shine. Also using strips like I have might be a little too bright.
