Will towncar carpet swap into a vic/mgm

The carpet in the 85 towncar I found is nice and will make the B pillars that I found match better.
Isnt the towncar longer?? more interior room??? so the carpet should be longer?? I guess thats better than it being too short... I think i'll fitted carpet would piss me off.
Should I make sure the B pillars fit first before I worry about this???

Yes the rear passenger area has more room, they are longer. The only problem I see is the indent for the rear floor pans being too large and not fittin well.

$130 FOR NEW CARPET????? hehehe. I can think of a few things better to spend that maney on... like poly front end bushings!! that I still need to order.....

did it fit well, holes lining up and such? thats good to know... if the front seat mounts are different at least the carpet still works.

a Mark VI is the same length as a towncar, so the floor pans won't be much different. CV rear seat floor area is smaller than TC or Mark VI, so you'll end up with too much material to fill the hole properly. You'd end up needing to remove a couple inches of carpet up under the front seat so it would lay right.

Not so with the 2-Doors. They have the same wheelbase as the CV/GM, 114.3in. 4-Dr Lincolns are 117.3in.

my bad, i have tended to give some wrong info to yall folks, the carpet that been installed on this surtain 1980 mark VI 2door was extracked outa a surtain 1989 LTD crown vic, the seats however were outa a 1992 town car, sorry for the mix up, thank you!...lol, it jus hit me now that it was out of a vic 4door, and then again, fit pretty good!

I didn't know they made the 2 door model shorter wheelbase. Hmm, that might present interesting issues with driveshafts.

I'm thinking they just used the CV/GM tailshaft and driveshaft instead of the Lincoln tailshaft and a even shorter driveshaft. No sure, maybe someone can confirm?
