    Burnt Fabric

So...A few weeks ago, I swapped out my map light fixture for one out of a Taurus...

Problem is, the original map light slightly burnt some of the fabric and tinted it a nice light brown...I was hoping it wouldn't show, but the Taurus map light fixture isn't as wide...

Is there any fabric dye or anything I can get to recolor the burnt fabric?

burned fabric? What size bulb do you have in there? I never burned it before I use the small bulbs like the ones in the speedo. Next time I am up at my grammas I will take some pics of it *If I remember*

It had the small size bulb in there. I never changed them out. But one of my friends left my map light on for an hour or so...And those things get insanely hot. So when I pulled the original map light fixture...I found out what happens when the map lights are on for extended periods of time.

SEM vinyl dye or you can use VHT. SEM has more color choices but I have used VHT and its good stuff.

            Take pics of what?

I could run outside a take pictures of the original or the Taurus...Open 'em both up and all.

Even for the small bulbs, the MGM map lights get hot as Hell when they're on for over an hour.

When I get home today, I'll break out the camera and take a shot of it.
