    Fuel Gauge replacement

In the 91 GM, with the 140mph Speedo, is the fuel gauge parth of the printed circuit, or can it be replaced. The one in ThatOneGirl's GM hasn't worked since we got it, and I'm lookin into fixin it.

The fuel guage, temp guage and speedometer are all separate pieces that pop into a plastic housing. But I think the sender is what was going bad in the car. Im not sure how to test it though.

Sender is fine, Had it checked when the fuel pump took a crap a month and a half ago. Problem is definetly the gauge. Have to find another one at the yard then.

There is also a voltage regulator back there. Its just a wire wound resistor mounted on the back of the printed circuit. Make sure you are getting voltage to the sender.

I've only had problems with Mercurys.

I'm unaware of this as a common problem. My setup is over 280,000 miles old.
