While riding in Scott's LTC, I noticed that his car had power vent windows. This got me thinking. What do the internals of the Lincoln's doors look like compared to the doors of a GM? Is it possible to modify the GM's doors to make a power vent window work? If it is a somewhat straight forward modification, I just might give it a try.

There's another arm in there working the vent window. I think there would be a lot of work involved to make a CV/GM like that, if it's even possible. I doubt you could just use Lincoln windows, either...I'm sure they're shaped different since the doors are.'89 Ford LTD Crown Vic - '92 Ford F-150 Custom -

are the doors really that different? I didnt know.
You would definitly have you pull and swap both entire regulator assemblies, as well and the piece that divides the window.
If the glass happens to be the same, Id say its doable if you wouldnt mind drilling out many rivetsPete ::::>>> resident LED addict and CFI defector LED bulb replacements

they're not THAT different I bet ford cheaped out and used the same sized glass.
You could try searching for town car and vic w/vent window glass and see if that doesnt give any cluesPete ::::>>> resident LED addict and CFI defector LED bulb replacements

It's like caddy and olds they look the same , made with the same quality but yet different in every way BUT.............not really
I would say go out to the junk yard and try it out on one of the junk cars and if it works than it works if not darn. ford is pretty good at making sure that parts can swap easy so you might get lucky

I usually refer to the Townie front window regulator system as a torture rack. Its a real mess in there with springs and stuff to make sure the vent drops first and stuff. I would personally like to power convert the crank-out vents. They're a lot more useful than dropping vents anyway if you ask me. They'd have more of a wow factor than the Lincoln drop-vent. I do find it funny that usually the first thing people notice about my car when they ride in it are those windows tho lol.86 Lincoln Town Car (Galactica).
