If not get some lightweight wheels, like my friend has TSW Nurburgring wheels on his V6 Performance Pack Mustang, they're rotary forged so they're really lightweight to improve the handling. He has Hankook Ventus V12 Evo tires now, feels pretty glued to the road.
I have new wheels posted in this thread a page or so back. Two complete sets. One strictly for winter and one strictly for summer. I agree on potential damage to the rubber with repeated mountings. I also would not want to put my wheels through that torture. Tire guys are complete idiots around here.

I ran some firestone summer tires on the wagon for a couple of seasons. It did handle tight but the ride was a bit tough on these cattle trails they humorously call roads around here.

Some pics at work before I say goodby to it for three weeks. (LONG work trip)

I love the industrial /abandon building vibe. Gotta bring my Vic back to here again and snap some more.

I was kind of thinking that looks like a setting for a cheap horror movie. If thats an active business, you might want to sell the owners on some paint for those doors if you actually get customers in that place.

If you like, I can use the car for the next three weeks to keep it from rusting up on you.
You know I am always happy to help.

You ain't kiddin. Those doors (at least one or two) actually work though those are not the bay doors in use to the building. New door in the front of the building are where customers come through as well as their trailers.

Some weird company rents out that space behind those doors but come through ours because everything is open and connected inside.

Due for a cleaning...And I sure gave it one. Wash, clay, sealer and wax. Makes me happy.

In the bays at work...aka my detail shop in the wee hours of the morning...

Also got the summer wheels and tires mounted and balanced. I did not install them yet though.

Quick pic snapped outside of the local Mobil station. They actually do a great job mounting and balancing the wheels and tires.

Put the new tires and wheels on yesterday and gave her another bath to match those pretty wheels.

                  Again, these are the tires:

                  And these are the wheels:

                  Just aftermarket replicas.
Anyways on to the more important stuff...

                  Comparing new and old:

                  And some perty fotos:

And the winter wheels awaiting a cleaning before heading out to storage.

That car... I'm kinda anal about keeping my trucks clean inside at least (mud ruins the outside every time, when you have 4x4 you tend to use it), but this is ridiculous! In a very good kinda way that is.

So I take it you flew down to the FL event? I did that once, next time company wanted to send me clear across the country I drove - lots more interesting that way, more things to see. And my vehicle at the time wasn't anywhere near as new and/or comfortable as what you got there...

Like every vehicle you get your hands on, that Mercedes is friggin gorgeous! Even if I got one cheap, I would still fear driving it in NJ.

Thanks. Yes, I flew down. Work pays for the travel day as well as arranges all of the ticketing and the hotel accommodations. I do love a good drive. I have done cali to New Jersey as well as Dallas to New Jersey. Fun times.

You'd probably have a heart attack if you saw my cars. I won't drive anything new or very nice until my boys are older, they can dirty up the inside with food like no one's business. I want to detail my 4Runner then cover it with clear plastic like a 1950's living room.
