I picked up this little car from a friend of mine that was wanting to get rid of it. The car needed a head gasket and his mechanic quoted him $2000 for the whole job so I told him I would buy it from him. At first my intentions were to put in a new head gasket and flip the car to make a few bucks. But now, I have gotten a new job which requires me to drive a lot of miles everyday so I'm thinking of keeping it as my work car to keep miles off my panthers and to take advantage of the 40+mpg this thing gets. My job pays me 1 gallon of gas for every 20 miles i drive so this thing gives me a profit whereas the Lincoln breaks even.
Anyway I paid $300 for it, bought an engine gasket set and redid the top end of the engine gaskets (head, valve cover, plug wells). Put in a new water pump and timing belt and new plugs and wires. now the car runs great and doesn't smoke a bit. Only issue is it needs a front wheel bearing.
It has a D15B7 engine and has an automatic. It's a 95 Civic LX with 128k miles so I couldn't pass it up.
Now I just need some fake chrome door trim, some shitty blue window tint, a huge rear spoiler, and an airplane hook and I'll be set. lol
