      I salvaged them! Haha...

My old starter was giving me fits, so I upgraded and picked up a mini starter. I also had to patch some not so great wiring...

That's right! That old one was a boat anchor. It turns over much, much quicker now too!

Nice lug too. Need a special crimp tool for that?

Right, but where's the schmoo inside the wires and adhesive lined heatshrink tube protecting it all???

It'll all be redone with new fusible links and the proper wiring eventually, then I'll spend more time on it. This was more of a "well shit, let's see what I have in the trunk" moment, haha.

Some of my "temporary" repairs are still in place many years later haha.

Nothing more permanent than a temporary fix.

Yeah pretty rare I fix something "permanently". With our old junk, you can pretty much count on having to get back in there at some point anyway...

Usually what mine turn into, fix one problem and two more pop up! "Good enough for now" quickly becomes "better than what I have to deal with now!"

Yep, especially with new vehicles we buy. Get in there and find other stuff that needs to be made right and sometimes you just don't have nor do you have easy access to the correct stuff you need but can get it done reliably and so that's what ya do...

So she's all covered up for winter. It was nice out on Thanksgiving so I got her done.

                            Until Spring!

Ah, hibernation. My old Turd has been sold, so nothing out covered up behind the garage any more.

In Spring I'll be looking for a house, hopefully no more storing mine at my parents, haha.
