That be a GTX sir, a 1970 if my eyes serve me correctly. It's a 2dr.

Edit: Nope, it's a four door Belvedere with GTX stuff.

What's on the right side of the speedo? Looks like a perfect place for a in dash tach. Maybe a combo oil pressure/temp/volt on the other?

should be some warning lights in the segments and a center with nothing in it IIRC, though I don't think it's a full 2 inches to fit a mini tach, but it might be.

I know there's seat belt and brakes, I'd like to say oil pressure, low fuel, battery, engine temp... Not sure about the last one though!

I painted the HVAC bezel today, the wood trim looked way out of place. Gloss black flows 10x better...

<----- is jealous. Very nice work that you've done to the car.

                      Thanks man!

The past few days I've been scraping, painting, painting... And painting the underside of the car. It has a lot of odd rust spots I'm trying to get under control, or at least slow down. I'll post a pic of the back end of the car later, that's where 90% of the work needed done.

I did do a little more painting on the front end though! Unlike the Crown Vics, the headlamp bezels are removable as a seperate piece on my Caprice. Goodbye oxidized chrome, hello gloss black!

I realize not everyone digs the black headlight trim but its worlds better than crappy peeling "chrome" IMO. I fixed the bumpers on my first 2 cars with black paint. Rusty chrome looks horrible.

Black bumpers do look good on the right cars though!

I did get the underside of the trunk finished, it's not perfect and not a permanent fix, but it is 10x better. I did find some rust holes I didn't know I had before though...

I really need to work on updating this as I do things! I pulled all the plugs back in September, no oil on them at all, so I'm quite impressed! I also found that my alternator plug was rigged up to say the least, so I repaired it properly.

I also did a little more rust repair, as I went to replace the trunk seal and discovered a few areas of rust hiding behind it. I also finally got around to scraping, sanding and painting the area behind the license plate. My dash finally got a crack as well, so I tossed a velour cover on it quick to keep it from worsening.

Right before I put it away, which was done Friday evening when it was still 70 degrees, I used an Eagle1 polishing mitt on all of the glass and chrome, it has never looked that good before!

Now she rests until Spring, once again...

Cool, a tre-oh-five that doesn't have shitty valve guides/stem seals. Someone opted for tilt wheel with that? Neat.

This car is optioned very strangely. It's a very low optioned Classic model, it doesn't even have rear defrost. However it has big front and rear sway bars and underbody braces... At the same time, it only has a 7.5 rear with 2.41's. Then it has power locks and tilt wheel.

It's like a clusterfudge of options...
