If I ever got a Town Car with a waffle grille, i'd take it off but i'd keep it around and sell it to someone who really wanted it. In my opinion, waterfalls just look better. But GL looks good with a waffle anyways.88 Town Car (wrecked, for sale)

4bbl swapsssss!!!
Edelbrock 1406, and a Professional Power Power Plus+ Typhoon dual plane intake.
Took out the sensor that was in there, had a left over plug from the new intake, fit in there nice.
Stock air cleaner still fits!
With the stock throttle cable where it should be, the gas pedal was too far forward, and it killed my ankle to keep my foot on it. So I devised this little fix. Keeps the pedal where it should be. Bracket left over from the truck throttle project. Waste not want not.
Intake came with a bracket to use the stock throttle bracket. Only changes I needed to make was to raise it up a little bit, since it interfered with the bracket for the TV cable. All works pretty good. One of the screws that came with the bracket doesn't actually fit into the threaded hole in the intake, which I thought was odd. I'm gonna track own the proper bolt so the bracket is more secure.
When I first did the swap I had some major problems, car ran fine for a while, but then goosing the gas pedal, it would start to run like shit and then only run on 4 cylinders. Tracked it down to dirt contamination in the fuel bowls. That thread can be seen here.
Got that fixed, and it runs like a champ now!
I'll get some more pics and stuff later, probably a walkaround video too. Mmmmm

my car starts and it has AC. Yours doesn't start and it has no AC. Seems obvious to me.
