I thought I'd post my pics here too.

Here is my 79 LTD as it sat the day I bought it. It cost me $300 and I probably paid too much!!









The body has lots of rust and the interior is nasty.

Here's the Shelby Cal 500 aluminum slots that will be going on the rear of the LTD. They are 15"x 8 1/2".



The plans for the future of this car is as follows:

rear cargo wagon springs
Boss 429 hoodscoop(functional )

Completely gut the car of the following heater, rear seat, carpet, sound deadening, factory gauges, AC, vinyl top and trim, lower body molding and anything else I can yank out that I won't need.

I'm going to black out the grill and remaining trim
spray the tailights, side marker lights and parking lights with a few coats of nightshades.
Do the body work and spray the car black.

And eventually I'm going to swap out the stock 351W and trans. And swap in my rebuilt 351W and a full manual C4.

The guy said in the ad that these were 15x10's but when I got to his house I saw they were only 8 1/2's but I noticed they said Shelby on the back so I gave him $50 for the pair. If I can find some cheap 15x10 slots I'll pick them up.

I've been considering that. I could probably get enough out of them to get a matching set of different rims.

You could at least get 3 times what you payed for them. The peanut design is less popular, but a set of 4 Shelby wheels like mine sold for over $1000

Well They've got like 3 1/2" back spacing So I don't know how they'd fit on the front.

I'm into the big-n-little tire look more then the steam rollers all the way around look.

My wheels are 15X8.5 with 3-3/4" BS. use my car as a reference for how they will fit. If you do have 3-1/4" bs then it will be 1/2" farther out of the car.
