my car starts and it has AC. Yours doesn't start and it has no AC. Seems obvious to me.

Yeah, got that rush after some success but it was nerve racking. Not even close to an amateur painter.....with a 30 dollar Harbor Freight gun....was nerve racking.
I don't have one run, which is success in my book. I think using that prep, pre painting spray really helped. I couldn't belive how much more old paint I kept getting of the car, after I "cleaned" it. Three rolls of shop towels. Pretty sure that helped adhesion.....that and I preped the shit out of it.
Have some dirt spots, but nothing that cannot be handled. I am beat.Last edited by Grand1; 10-19-2023, 08:25 PM.

Single Stage Urethane, the brand name was Wanda, the distributer gave me a discount, a gallon was $390.. From what I read , it's more than decent stuff. I manged to get the coats above on, I do have some really small fish eyes and some dirt....but it laid flat.

Really nice work! I painted my front of my 89 CV with the same cheap Harbor Freight gun. Worked surprisingly well for me too. I rushed and wet sanded too soon which caused some checking but still overall looked good and held up for years without any issues.

What's the story on solvent pops (not the near the size of fish eyes)? I got some, can only see them when the light is just right. Would a wet sand take care of this, or make it worse? Maybe I should just wax it? I have been researching this online and very limited knowledge I can find.
Additionally, got the trim back...its....shiny AF. Most of the pits are on the underside, only one pice can you cleary see a blemish.(nothing he could do, nothing to work with)
