Odd, when I put the BBK 75mm tb on my '05, the zip tube fit perfect(both the Sport and CVPI). But I do know when others put the Ford 75mm on, the zip tube needed to be enlarged.

Looks good. May need some longer bolts though.

So the bolt pattern is off, same as the 75mm Ford TB. I'd be concerned with the rubber coupler clamped around a hollow plastic tube in the long term though.

Yeah, I am too. Will be swapping metal piping eventually, once I have a little cash for it

Yeah. That one is shorter than the rest, I accidentally dropped one in a storm drain. Used the LS bolt instead. I will note that the throttle body has to be mounted upside down, but it works fine that was. Using the LS throttle position sensor and motor though because of it

At least the 'plug-and-play' nature of it makes up for the hassle of messing around with the bolt holes. How well do the bores match between the TB and plenum?

The plenum and throttle body match up almost exactly. Was not expected, thought LS would be bigger since it appears the throttle body may have been the basis of the 75mm as well. Took 20 minutes to do it all at least

That actually makes sense to me. The plenums never really changed much other than them not drilling thru the IAC ports, and its well known that the older plenums are 70mm inside diameter. Why all '96+ plenums are 70mm but all '96+ throttle bodies are 65mm, IDK.

Not for functionality, I still reap the benefits of throttle response. Gonna get the whole lot tuned once I get some better rear gears though, slowly adding parts until I do. JMOD is next, still not sure if I want to try and find a set of cams due to costs. After that a tune will be in order though

Were you able to use the P71 air filter box/MAF without a tune? BTW, you should set up a signature with your car and mod info. It's one of the settings in your profile.

I did use it without a tune, had a lean light at first but removing the ground for a few apparently did the trick. Haven’t had a light since. I do like the way it feels though, butt dyno likes it.

Hmmm, I wonder if later non-CVPI PCMs were given enough tolerance for the larger MAF. One possible way for the cheap people like me to avoid the expense of a custom tune might be to use a CVPI computer whose stock tune is based on the 80mm MAF, though I guess torque converter size and rear gears would be factors.

Decided to postpone rear gears until next year, and abandon the silly hood ornament idea for now. Gonna get her tuned for the throttle body, air box, and exhaust with 93 octane
