This is kind of a beginning chapter without being entirely accurate. I'm not great at documenting my life with photos. Will dig up some pics of my first panther which was a '98 p71 that still had a white roof and black everything else. Anyhow, here's a bit of my first box that kind of melts into my 2nd. There will be more to come....

So pic 1, 2, and 3 are my 1st '90 LTD Crown Vic that I bought from a buddy for 1000 dollars in almost-good condition. The tires were bald and it had a bad idle surge, as well as the original(intact) shitty rubber tv bushing. I had already ordered the proper replacement in quadruplicate so I sorted that quickly. About 100 miles before the 3rd picture you see of my smashed front end, I had installed Edelbrock Performer 5.0 heads, 1.7 rockers, typhoon intake(knockoff edelbrock performer RPM I) 65mmTB and lighting egr plate, C&L 76mm MAF and 24# injectors, mustang shorty headers with O/R h-pipe, 2 cal-legal cats welded in to said h-pipe, 2.5" tailpipes with moroso spiral-flow mufflers, impala over-axle pipes, etc.

Anyhow, I literally drove the car about 100 miles before tragedy struck and the whole front end got shit-housed. Sure I could fix it but it would cost me $5k and the asshole who caused the accident was an illegal, so I got no money from his end, and I only had liability so I got nothing from my end either. Anyhow, parts car. Pics 4,5, and 6 showcase new car, new car, and both cars. I have more pictures and will post them accordingly, but techonology is not my forte' so it'll be slow-going. Just feel like a jerk for not being more forthcoming for as much trouble as I make on this forum.

That car doesn't look that bad, at least not 5k's worth,Click image for larger version

ID:	1281451 I've fixed worse for $500 in parts or less. Of course this doesn't include the paint. Here is a pic of the last one I did.

Did you full or 3/4 clip it ? The paint might have cost more than the parts. Red is expensive!

The car is an 02 but it now has a complete 03 front end on it.
It's not painted yet and the owner is trying to decide what they want in a paint job.
It's still up in the air if it's going to be a Maaco job or something better.

Well, it's balancing the cost of the paint with the worth of the car. The car is nice enough but would that justify a high dollar paint job?
I think if they are going to keep it, why not something between Maaco and a top dollar job?
Thinking about body color everything, sort of a Marauder look.
Should look pretty good with those 18" fan blades that are on it.

Good luck with your new-to-you box CV. I hope the bad drivers will stay far away from you from now on.

The rest of the car looks really nice so I'd have a hard time not painting it to match. Our trucks however, they'd get Maaco if they got anything at all lol.

Who the hell is that purple gloved scientist cartoon character in your avatar anyway? LoL I remember it from somewhere...

Thanks buddy, i'm driving even MORE cautiously nowadays as I don't want to go through heartbreak again. Took a lot for me to talk myself out of keeping and fixing the other car, but it would've cost easily $5k to get that thing back right and i'd already spent so much money on it, just didn't seem right.

Funny sidenote; got a registration letter from DMV that said it required smog at a star station. I flew into a rage at the fact that my car was smogged only 6 months ago when I bought it. On closer inspection, it was for the dead car, making these things linked even closer. I have 2 white 1990 Crown Victoria LX's that both have May tags. What are the odds?

That car is really nice, it's a low miles, loaded, top of the line GM. Plus it's got a PI dual exhaust sytem, PI front bar, Marauder rear bar and 3:55 gears.
And those are Mustang 18" wheels with custom Mercury center caps.

Thar purple gloved scientist is non other than Dr. Simon Bar Sinister from the old Underdog cartoon.

That's pretty unlikely, seeing as how tags can change the month they're applied on a car. Far less likely than having 2 cars built in the same month (Ebyt and Eva are both September cars, one's an early 1989 the other's a very late '85), those dates stay the same. Let alone the same color. If they had the same options or even just the same packages (i.e. trailer tow, preferred equipment aka "LX") then we'd really be shitting rainbows! And don't worry about taking your time uploading pictures and stuff, business and funding for the panthers come first.
'89 Grand Marquis "Ebyt", '85 Grand Marquis "Eva", '94 Caprice "Kira"
'84 Town Car "Stacy", '79 New Yorker “Anita", '93 Town Car "Kelly"
'80 Mark VI "Allie", '94 Grand Marquis coming June, '79 LTD-S "Oksana"

This was literally within a few weeks of starting to drive her. Needed tires and the exhaust(single) had been chopped off right after the axle. Just got the wheels and tires on, new shocks, and the duals which you can barely see because they did such a great job of tucking it all up. Same system will be going on the new car and v-banded in sections to be modular.
