What items have you found in vehicles you've bought?

Thought this might be a fun thread.

Here are some of my finds in vehicles from over the years:

Pocket change has seemed to average around 5 to 7 dollars worth per vehicle.

A 10 dollar bill behind trunk lining.

A bag of old coins tucked behind the full-size spare tire. Included 4 rolls of wheat pennies, 3 large cents dating from the late 1790s/early 1800s, and a lot of old miscellaneous coins. I ended up selling that lot for $300.

    Cell phones.

    Cell phone chargers.

    Bullets of various calibers.

    Fishing lures and hooks.

Partial bottles of various automotive fluids.

    Dog chain.

Tools of all kinds. The latest is a huge masonry drill bit.

Toys. The latest is part of an Apollo rocket.

    Clothing, jewelry, and watches.

    Pills.

Sealed condoms....very glad I haven't found any used ones!

    Candy.

About an even mix of cigarette butts, french fries, and crunchy Cheetos.

Plenty of miscellaneous trash, from empty water bottles, soda and beer cans, food wrappers, receipts, and scraps of paper of all kinds.

From the factory....a wad of build sheets from a bunch of different vehicles jammed up under the seat of one.

Getting a different vehicle and thoroughly cleaning it out is usually like a combination of an archaeological dig and a forensic examination.

Yep, lots of change genrally, cigarette butts of course. Air fresheners. My other '90 had a bunch of straw/hay in the back because apparently a previous owner had a horse and no other vehicle to haul hay in. Found a genuine ford trailer wiring kit in the trunk of the new '90.

      Mice nests.

Cars from seemingly poor folks had lots of change. More well to do kept their money.

The 90 had a bunch of bright vinyl material in it. Newspapers from 1998. And coupons that expired in 94.

The 88 had a billy stick in it.

The ranger had Dalmatian hair everywhere.

The 68 had mashed up cups with Ford on them under the carpet.

The old 87 CV I used for parts had a new single magnum condom in the trunk. The landau back window gives some extra privacy I suppose.

My 74 has hair and probably dead skin from various dead relatives. They died naturally of course.

The most notable I have found was a Driver's License from the previous owner's 500 lb wife. Scary!

Woah 500lbs. That would explain some seat sag.

"About an even mix of cigarette butts, french fries, and crunchy Cheetos." Which are all smokable, barely edibile, and bad for you ( even before sitting hidden in a car for who knows how long....lol)
I'm not completely oblivious to reality, I just choose to reject it when it doesn't line up with my opinions. (thanx Thain!)

The Lincoln had so much garbage in it that I filled two of those yard waste bags. Mostly soda bottles, most used as a spitoon by it's second owner. There was also a lot of hay remains in the trunk from the original owner who had bought it to tow a horse trailer. I found a sealed but very old pack of Pall Mall cigs under the seat too.

Everything else has been clean, or at least I don't remember anything of note. Consider I've owned all of 6 cars in my life and I still own 3 of them. The last vehicle purchase was in 2009.

I have found many of the usual things in my cars, change, cigarettes, food. But the strangest thing by far was a large (I didn't measure it) "adult" toy. It was black and very detailed...Found it wrapped in a towel tucked in by the spare tire.

If she upped another 100 she would be eligible for that show 'My 600lb Life'.

Never really found anything cool in any of my cars. Old insurance cards from the previous owners; I found one of those pocket eyeglasses holders behind the glove box on the Mercury. I had the interior apart the other day for cleaning and was hoping to find a build sheet. No such luck.

meh... probably maxed out at about 37˘ in the beater and lots of dirt and a blown out spare (the shop the PO (my dad) used didn't mount a new tire on that one and just stole the good spare). The 93 was a dealer cleaned car and had 2 extra jacks in the trunk (one bumper jack and one foot pump torque box jack (kind of a hydraulic X jack thing with a raised circle on the flat part) - that was a weird one - have neither now) and the 2000 was from my wife's in-laws and was very tidy. The 93 F150 was just full of dirt and a couple chicken bones (ala my dad). The Mark VI had lots of dog hair and dog biscuits in the seats. The Pontiac Parisienne had some adapter terminals to use regular batteries with GM screw terminals (still have those). The Suzuki Esteem was freaking DETAILED to try and sell it. Still sat on the lot until I came along. 2006 F150 was leased and was new. My first car was detailed at the dealer and very clean. So not much.

I found a Leather and lead "sap" in a 82 Diplomat police car. Another police car had license plates stuck in the headliner. Another police car had pictures of "girl friends" on the visor. In one other, I found a very small mini cassette recorder between the front seats with a cassette tape.

Found a Ford dealer brochure in the spare tire of my 03 LX Sport, about $5 in change in my 95 T-bird and while stripping my 89 CV down I found someone wrote on the rear floorpan with sealer "who are you?", lol... Must have been bored on the line that day. Haven't tore down any of the Pontiacs yet but I'm sure when I replace the interior of my 00 Grand Prix GT this year I'll find all kinds of kid junk since my brother never really took care of it. I'd bet the back seat bottom has at least a full 48 box of crayons under it along with god knows what kind of food stuffs.

I have also found Dalmatian hair everywhere in the grand prix. Probably because my best buddy is a Dalmatian and he still likes to go for a ride once in a while
These are highly engineered precision vehicles, the first step in diagnosing the problem is to strike the suspected offending part sharply and repeatedly with a blunt object, then re-test.

Forgot to mention: knives. When I got my 96 GM I found 3 folding lock-blade knives and 2 box cutters under the front seat.

Just lose change. Not even a dollars worth. I've found more at the autowreckers by happenstance.
