Tank is back in. Topped it off and drove it around a couple times today. I can not explain how good it feels to drive this car.

AC compressor isn't engaging. TV pressure should probably be bumped up a bit. Otherwise, drives like a dream.

Leaking fuel like a bitch. Looks like the pump assembly seal let go. I didn't think that was going to seal well enough with the way the new hanger mounted up to the tank, but did I listen to my gut and fix it right away? Nope. Now, I get to drop the tank ... again. Yay.

That's too bad. It's always one thing or another.

Siphoned most of the fuel out, tonight. Damn thing is, I filled fuel yesterday afternoon and drove the car a fair amount with no leaks showing. Decided to drive it to work this morning and found it dripping in the garage. Lost over 1/8 tank throughout the day.

That fuel tank nonsense from a few years back ended up being a lot of work. Had to do modify the tank and the sending unit to get things to seal tight. Ended up pulling the tank again, and filling it with water to find the trouble spots.

Today, this car got a treat: 2 1/4" custom cat-back exhaust, x-pipe, and Flowmaster Flow FX mufflers. Quieter than the old exhaust, but a much cleaner sound than glass packs. What happened to the 2" dual exhaust with glass packs, you ask? That system went on my 90 CV, which had a rotted out single exhaust.

That install looks really nice. Should almost be marked NSFW.

I'm just glad that I found a shop that would do good custom work. The shop I was going to use no longer does custom exhaust (the guy is up in age). There is a big generational gap around here when it comes to custom automotive work.

Sad state of affairs. That's exactly the problem I ran into several months ago when I was trying to have the exhaust done on our '93 F-150. Called several shops and actually stopped into one. Nobody wanted to touch it outside of a factory set-up. Fortunately the shop I stopped into referred me to another outfit who did what we wanted: fake duals with a knock-off Slowmaster. For whatever reason, they don't touch exhaust manifolds so that leak still persists due to broken bolts in the head. Here's hoping another shop can take care of that without have to swap/pull the head.
