    1981 town Coupe

I have always wanted a town coupe, but the right deal never came until last weekend. I drove it home 500+ miles from ohio getting an average of 21mpg with stock cfi, single exaust, and 3.08 open. And it has tubular upper control arms.

I am going to put a station wagon bar up front, a small rear bar, 11inch brakes with a 3.27 posi, lincoln turbines and factory dual's this weekend.
I will have to get better pic for y'all.

Sweet car man! Nice find. We want more pics. I like the 2drs too. Will it do one wheel peels? How does that CFI work?

        Looks like a great find.

Just a thought, converting the rear to disk is quick and easy while you have the axles out.

Sell it to me, I've been looking for one of those... it needs my 408w and running gear for nitrous-fueled shenanigans

Have not tried yet. Well the cfi still works in stock form so for now it's staying. I will have to get photos of the upper control arms, and photos next to the mark 6.

Thanks for the offer, but I'm specifically looking for a town coupe. Had my '84 since 2002 so I'm kinda hooked on the body style, just want the '80-81 2-dr version. Don't care much for the mk6 differences

This is such a nice find.

What are the plans beyond the rear end swap?
