Well I needed a new daily and I found this truck on craigslist and it happened to be right up the road from my house. So I went up there an looked at it and ended up coming home with it all said and done for 800$. It's got 107,000 miles, everything works but just need a little cleansing. The truck has been used to plow the guys driveway for the last 10 years. The snowplow that came on it, is flawless and simply needs a coat of paint. I plan to sell the plow and hopefully regain what I spent on the truck. It's crusty but I don't care too much since it runs so quietly and happily. Being an Eddie Bauer, it got the "handling package" which came with quad shocks in the front and a 3.55? LSD out back. Both seats are lumbar and comfortable as hell.
Smells like rat piss but I still love it to death. So far it merely needs a brake line patched, all four shackle hangers and new shocks in the front. I already ordered everything the day I bought it and it is all supposed to show up tomorrow (3/11/16) It's a tiny truck with a big truck drivetrain, it's great.
She lights em up pretty good, relatively effortless as well. Obviously this was one of the first tests after taking the plow off.
I actually haven't worked on it much, other than checking out what I needed to order. The CVGT is getting most of the love right now since I want to get that shit done. But after an initial double check of the fluids, the tranny fluid smells perfect and looks bright and pink while the oil isn't black yet but is on its way to that point. I'll sort out minor details after I make it actually able to be safely driven. (All four shackle hangers are actually broken.. )
