Got the carb off and broke apart. Never expected it to be this clean. Maybe its a side effect of only driving it a few hundred miles before hibernation? Bowl gaskets came off easily, no real tarnish or dirt even visible. The butterfly shafts need a few drops of blaster to quiet down, but overall looks just fine.

Picked up two jugs of Motorcraft diesel oil to fill er up with and a FL-1A. Gonna pull the plugs and shoot in some blaster to lube the cylinders a bit before turning over by hand. The plugs also looked new, like I was prepping for a refire in the past, but I have no recollection of it, lol. I'll take the new plugs either way

I've got an unopened triple set of gauges I'm going to install before I get a priming tool and spin the pump. Battery from the coupé has been on a trickle charger for a few days while I get this sorted out. Once the carb is back together and oil press checked, just need to key on the pump and check for leaks before maybe keying over one stop further to fire the beast

Am I missing anything on the refire checklist?

That is clean. Did you drain the carb before storing it or do you run a specific brand of gas?

I didn't really do anything special that I remember. The only draining that happened was the natural evaporation from sitting after its last run ~10 yrs ago. I didn't prep the gas at all and ran just regular 93 premium from the local station. Don't remember which brand, but i know it wasn't Sunoco. I only had maybe 2-300 miles on it, so maybe there just wasn't enough through it to build up a tarnish or dirt.

Hmm. Good gas, whatever it was. Even with stabil my float bowl stuck on me after my fury sat just 6 months.

Wow, haven't seen some of those faces in a long time.

Why is there a random tire in the pic anyway? LOL
