ok, maybe will have to give them a go when the Conti is due for tires next.It really would look better with white walls. I've had tires that were unusable in the rain before and its no fun.

I have had no issues driving in the rain or on dry roads with the Nexen tires. I only have maybe 4,000 miles on them in less than two years.

I've found them decent for an all-season tire. Traction is great in dry, good in wet. No issues with unusual wear in regular driving or occasional towing. Been running them on the '87, haven't had a "scary" moment with them unlike those older Firestone FR710s, which were awful in the rain.

I just looked at the Nexen tires on the Lincolns. The model is: N PRIZ AN5. 225-70-15 They look good, ride soft, white wall. The whitewalls are holding their color and when dirty clean up well. I got mine at Town Fair Tire which is popular in the North East.

225 is 1/2" larger diameter. Magical internet calc tells me 2% difference on the speedo.

Ah. I tried looking at the 360 degree option to see the whitewalls, but it didn't load, so I'll take your word for it. Is there a diameter difference between P225/70's and P215/70R15's? My Town Car's speedometer is dead-nuts accurate with 215's.

i think the Conti actually runs a 225/70 rather than the more common 215/70. Maybe when its due for tires in a couple years I'll forget all about this and you can remind me. Mark VII is next on the list, those are 10 years old and starting to look a little questionable.

Didn't see any WWs either so then you can get them from almost anyone.

Nexen and Hankook offer whitewalls in 14” and 15” sizes that fit Panthers. I’ll will mention the Nexen whitewalls don’t seem to get the yellowing issue the Hankooks do.

Nexen does offer the whitewall in the “fleet” P225/70R15 size, and works well on these cars.

No idea, but I did like their BF Goodrich Radial T/A knock-offs.

Quiet duals are a thing. My Town Car has what the shop called "Turbo" mufflers on it, but they are pretty tame. Short of our F-150 and Camaro, everything else will be quiet. Hell, maybe the Camaro even. As I get older, I find quiet to be much more appealing. Whenever I watch Engine Masters and Steve Brule compliments quiet stuff & gets railed on by his companions for his opinions, I feel for him.
