with identical lift and ramp rates it should make the same power, but yeah, the firing order beats on the bearings. The ECM won't be able to give the additional fuel needed anyway. Hell, the HO brain will get dumb with GT40 heads a lot of the time if you don't go mass air or have it tuned.

So this weekend I'm grabbing new headlights (I have one bright, one normal), tires, and a tune up. Insurance was crazy expensive and it took a bit to save up for it.
For the exterior I'm thinking about playing with some plastidip and going matte black. Then I was thinking about getting a little bit of a drop at the front, chrome trim rings and lugnuts (If i can't find old school half moon poverty caps), and gas adjusts. Down the road I want to slap on better sway bars. Is there a kit to completely rebuild the front suspension (ie all the rubber and such).

Was not expecting that mass hate around the plastidip? I've done it several times and it seems to come out good? Maybe its in the prep.
All prelim thinking rather than any actual plans made as of right now. I'm going to rent a buffer to see what the paint really holds here (hopefully) before it gets too cold.

+1 it's your car and your money... if you wanna dip it... at least I won't complain about the Copenhagen.

I did it on my friend's firebird a couple of times and we did it on an acura and stang. I think done right it doesn't look terrible. Up close you can tell its definitely not paint but it could fool a lot of onlookers from about 5 foot.
I want to see if I can get the paint to shine first. If I could bring it back and just have to repinstripe the door, I could wok that out.

Alright, so I got new tires this weekend, much more grippy (no more rear end slip).
I managed to lose both hoses that go from the water pump to the bypass and to the heater core. Wow. Okay. Anyways am going to have to replace those next weekend since those are no where in town.
One thing I noticed is the car downshifts into third with very little gas pedal down. Could this just be a sign that it needs a tuneup or is it something in the transmission?

TV cable may be a bit tight or you're cruising at 45mph or you have 2.73 gears.

if it's shifting into overdrive before 45mph, it should be snugged up a little. Probably stretched out over the years. Though, with 2.73, you might snug it up more unless it hangs onto 1st too long. Always adjust in small increments (1mm) and test drive for feel. When if feels right, leave it.
