Not a panther but still a Ford

I got rid of the Merc on saturday. Since before then I was looking for something clean. Something with a clean undercarriage. So after searching for a while I finally found something. I've always wanted another Mark VII but couldn't find one around here to my liking. I regretted getting rid of my Mark and not getting it fixed. So I got something similar and newer.

She's a 93 LX with the 5.0 and 31k miles. I should be picking her up tomorrow afternoon. Got her from a dealer that took her in on trade. The former owners had it on CL and traded it in for something else. After looking at the CL ad and dealer ad I thought that there's no possible way that there's 2 green 5.0 Birds with 31k miles on it around here. Well I found out it was green when I took it for a test drive. Looks blue in the dealer pics. I'll definitely get more pics up by the weekend.

+1! That will serve you very nicely. Always favored the T-bird styling on the MN12 platform over the Cougar. Awesome that it's a 5.0L car and not the 3.8. Grey leather interior?

My grandparents had a brand-new '95 Windstar GL in that color. It too looked blue or green in different light. It ate 3 transmissions in 90k....Grandpa liked to use the R-D shift as his brakes when backing out of the driveway

Great car. My mom had a 96 all loaded up, but it was the V6. I still always enjoyed that car.

With the V-8 that is a pretty quick car. I had a 94 Cougar and at high speeds, you could feel the car flex. The ex wife got it and I got the payment.

Thanks all! Definitely can't wait to pick it up. I had a few buddies that have owned them. I never thought they were bad looking cars.

Wow! Can't remember the last time I saw an MN12 in that cool seafoam green color in person. Let alone in as good condition as yours. She has definitely never seen a winter. Icing on the cake is that she's a 5.0 car. What a beast! I remember seeing these all the time when I was a little kid. I'm sure you'll take care of her, and enjoy her. Such a car only deserves the very best.

                        Any go-fast plans?

No go fast plans ATM. Maybe just remove the air silencer from the air box. I don't think I woulda bought it if it had the ugly ass green interior that ford had to hold onto since the 70's.

I picked it up earlier this afternoon and I have to say I absolutely enjoy driving it. Too bad I've only a few weeks at most of driving it. Gonna put it away probably before November. Took some pics today after I got home. I also checked out the glove box when I got home only to find a shitload of receipts dating back to the purchase, 2 window stickers, owners manual, and the cassette holder for the ford radio. I tried changing the radio stations when I left the dealer only to find that the ford radio cassette was in there.

The dealer put on 4 brand new tires, front pads and rotors, new motorcraft axle seal, air filter and did an oil change. Not bad considering what I paid for it.

                          On to the pics!

Also has a 2" drop on it. I'll try to get pics of the engine bay tomorrow.

Very, very clean for a northern car. Sweet find with the documents too.

The sport versions of those were the shit. Same suspension as the super coupes. Only made for a few years they started to out sell the SC .Good find.
