Well, I've got the money, but he hasn't had the time.
I know they're coming for my Mirage, too. It's just a matter of when...
*sigh*
I have an inspection sticker ready to go, but I still need that damn heater core done.1997 Lincoln Town Car Executive Series - Charlene

Heater core is installed!
At the expense of my shift indicator cable >_>
Now to register her! By the way, I've noticed my exhaust leak gets a lot quieter when the car's warmed up - could it just simply be the gasket?1997 Lincoln Town Car Executive Series - Charlene

Plus when you open the hood, you can smell it before the car warms up. That awful raw exhaust odor.1997 Lincoln Town Car Executive Series - Charlene

So I got the car registered and already ran into some problems:
Driver Mirror doesn't work, you can hear the motor running but it doesn't work.
Transmission will not lock out overdrive - nor will the O/D off light illuminate.
Gear indicator perpetually stuck on 1.
Cruise control appears to work electronically, "speed control" illuminates when setting speed but car will not hold speed.
Thermal fan clutch is gone. Thank goodness there's an electric auxiliary fan in there.
Anyone wanna help out with these bugs? I'll pay you for your time.1997 Lincoln Town Car Executive Series - Charlene

OD lock-out button wires are probably damaged at the point they exit the shift arm (common issue).
gear indicator stuck on 1... disconnected from shifter or cable broken.
cruise control - check servo and linkage.
the others... just replace (but you already know that).

Yeah the fan clutch is the world's easiest repair, I might even just go clutchless and get a flex fan. I guess I'm better off replace the mirror than trying to fix it. It makes noise but doesn't move. There isn't as much to it as I feared. Just a few wires and bolts, like any other mirror.1997 Lincoln Town Car Executive Series - Charlene

So this tank, even on the highway barely cracks the city rating for economy.
I'm thinking the manifold leak and resulting MIL has a lot to do with it.1997 Lincoln Town Car Executive Series - Charlene

Also, I noticed my gas cap has started farting. Bad spring?
I ask that not because I don't know what a bad spring would leak pressure, but because I REALLY don't want it to be evap related ;_;1997 Lincoln Town Car Executive Series - Charlene
