    Got a '96! Oh boy

    Well this is one of those I don't need a car I have two, but this is too good of a deal to pass up, deals. lol.

    It's a 1996 Crown Victoria LX
    135k
    Power,alloys,AM/FM/CASS-(That's getting replaced!)


    Found this '96 on Craigslist a few days ago, guy was asking 1600, its got a check engine light for catalyst bank 1, so I lowballed and went 800, he said $1000 and here we are.

    Best part of the deal is the car is totally rust free, I got the original window sticker, sales brochures, and warranty cards showing it was bought in North Carolina.

    So far, I've ordered:

    -New Headlights (Fogged over)
    -Oil/Air/Fuel Filters
    -Wiper Blades
    -Touch Up paint (Small sun-fade spot on roof)
    -Serpentine Belt
    -Oil Pan Plug

    Going to do some maintenance, and clean the car up its terribly filthy, and go from there.

          wow you and I got the same color combo, but mine got leather seats and HPP.

                Nice 96 CV Spare or upgrade parts should not be a problem since Chicago has many junkyards

                  Nice quality materials before Ford began to decontent. Should look nice for years to come.

                    Definitely planning a junkyard day soon. I'll get some better pictures when I get it cleaned up

                              Your car is very clean compared to my '96 GM that I got last week that was full of trash, dirty and stained carpets, trunk full of straw chaff, etc. Doesn't look that way now but it sure was a mess at first. A bit of compensation, though....$2.16 in change and several folding knives and box cutters strewed around inside.

                              Mine was $600 plus $400 to get it here, has 132k miles, and also zero rust. Maybe we should start a GDC....Great Deal Club.
