Frame looks fantastic! What sort of applicator are you using? Foam brush, rollers etc etc?
Promise me that you will remove the two door off the frame in a more gentle manner...No chains through the doors please.~David~

Update from this afternoon.
Grant wheel came in, I picked up all of the Ni-Copper line that I ordered for fuel and brake lines. Got head gaskets, blue thread lock, high tack, pan gasket. Then I spent some big bucks. Ordered the entire set of rotors and pads from a local brake shop. Street Plus Performance, my dad has them on his '12 E350 van and his E31 BMW, both of which are drilled and slotted. I've driven both and am thoroughly impressed. So I ordered DOTTED and SLOTTED rotors, which will also be getting dipped in a rust preventative. Thereafter, I bought all four pads from him, they're significantly cheaper thank Hawks ($60 vs $90) and comparable. So I'm pumped.
Don't mind that, I'm waiting until the car is on the frame and then I'm going to pull the aluminum cross member and perfect that entire portion of the frame, doing it the correct way.__________________________________________________

You'd use a Towncar frame. Same wheelbase.86 Lincoln Town Car (Galactica).

So uh I got all the brake lines done, I just need to get the fittings and flare em. I think the lines came out pretty good but not that great to me; can always be better. Fuel return line is parallel in 1/4" line.
Still waiting on my damn body mounts to come in.
On a side note, I was planning to start putting my engine back together tonight but then I got a little side tracked and got all of the machinist tools out, experimenting with porting my heads (GT40s). They're not done yet but at least all the castings are gone. I made a little jig to hold them on an easy to reach angle on my work bench. I used a carbide bit to hog out the castings and then wooden bit to smooth them out, they'll look much better when I'm done. Hell I know they won't do much but it's worth the experience.
Don't mind all the texture on the paint, the second coat was laid on very heavy.
I will need to pickup a set of gaskets and figure out how far I can hog them out.Last edited by Bobcat; 02-25-2016, 12:49 AM.__________________________________________________

Lookin' good man, real good. Had drilled/slotted rotors on my '98 and didn't even know it until I got tires put on it. In 5 years I only had to put rear pads on it but the rotors were fine and the damned thing stopped like nobody's business. You'll be very happy with that setup. That's really the only thing I miss about my whale. I'll get back to that someday. If you're going to a great deal of trouble, why not shitcan the gt-40s and put some REAL heads on that sucker? I'm a cheap bastard, and poor, but I'm willing to spend money on good stuff for the motor because I only want to do it once. I dunno, everyone has different priorites.

Looking good, so much easier to run those lines while the bodys off! Did you say you used 1/4" for the fuel line? That's too small for the power you are making based on what I'm finding, this doesn't even list 1/4":
* Up to 375HP = 5/16" or -04 AN
* Up to 550HP = 3/8" or -06 AN
* Up to 800HP = 1/2" or -08 AN
* Up to 1200HP = 5/8" or -10 AN
Take that chart with a grain of salt though, a lot of mis-matched info online, however no one seems to be running 1/4 on anything that makes decent power.Last edited by Brown_Muscle; 02-25-2016, 11:23 AM.-Phil
