my boxes do not have rear bars... my aero does have a rear bar... the aero handles hella better. all have good shocks and stock suspension and the front bars connect to the lower control arms on the boxes and the lower part of the spindles on the aero. Nothing connects to the upper control arms on any panther that I've seen.

LSC ECM. Lincoln logs into stock dual exhaust. K&N drop in air filter. Wide ratio AOD, 2400 converter with a 3.08 one tire fire out back. Car is less slow now. Then there's the '92 Beater. Dual 2.25" exhaust with shiny tips. Rumbles nice. Super slow. Burns oil too.

Just wanna give 86VickyLX a HUGE thank you for doubling Trinity's fuel mileage and eliminating her MIL with nothing more than a $7.00 gasket, a few cans of brakleen, and 50 minutes of his time. THANK YOU SO MUCH!1997 Lincoln Town Car Executive Series - Charlene

Something to do with the EGR... I dunno much amount emissions control but the egr intake gasket thing was roached and the port or something was stuck.... When he played with the little actuator thing in the beginning, nothing happened; but when all the work was done, the car would bog down and idle like shit.
Car still has a slight misfire... I blame the 20 year old plugs and wires. Those are up next, once I get some money. And I think I can easily do those myself.
Oh, and coolant hoses and a good coolant flush. Preventative maintenance. I don't wanna get too crazy, since john said this engine really isn't worth modifying. Other than that, an ac vacuum and good charge of 134 and ester oil, the sway end link things, a new transmission brace and mount and I think I'll leave her alone and keep feeding her a quart of oil with every fill up. If I want to go faster, John has pretty much convinced me the wise thing to do would be to wait for a good PI motor and 4R70W to come my way.1997 Lincoln Town Car Executive Series - Charlene

The infamous 4.6 EGR port got clogged. I've seen it before, and I've fixed it. Tall tale sign of an inop EGR system is code 332, and when you apply vacuum to the EGR valve, the idle doesn't change at all. I hardly take pictures of stuff. But there is a write up on here in the 4.6 section on how to do the job.

Yeah, lincolnonline has a good write up. I remember doing it on my '95 years ago when I first got the car. Since my '87 doesn't have the same issue I'm happy.

there was a write-up on here... when the guy that wrote it got banned... he took all his pictures with him. All that's left is my 2 cents with a before and after pic.

So, my temporary tags are about to expire and I'm going to need her inspected...
Jersey people, which MVC stations don't flog the car for the 2K RPM test? If the inspector doesn't think he/she is Paul Walker, Trin should pass with flying colors. But if they race the engine and she farts blue smoke, she may earn herself a red sticker of FAIL.1997 Lincoln Town Car Executive Series - Charlene

The new coolant shit is R12345a or something and it's CO2-based and it REALLY likes to go ASPLODEY and it turns into poison fucking gas when it burns. I've been reading about it periodically over at TTAC.com & Mercedes & BMW & France/Eurozone prohibiting registration of the cars etc, because of the danger, and the courts saying "fuck you, commerce" and letting them sell the deathtraps.

So the car needed new tires, and a colleague with a '97 Lincoln Town Car Executive Series was looking for extra cash...
Also, I really need help finding that reflector for the trunk. All my searches are turning up dry. If ANYONE knows someone who has one, or has an extra laying around they'd like to sell, please give me a heads up.
I also need one center cap; Only 3 wheels had the center caps with them.1997 Lincoln Town Car Executive Series - Charlene
