    NYC "ghetto" cruiser:-)

She sits all alone, a two door barge of almost four thousand non "green" pounds, nestled between many foreign interlopers...weighing less than half her mass........the tiny green machines I call them.........just waiting for the day she rusts her way to the local salvage site to be crushed, but they will be tClick image for larger version

Btw, she was Z-Barted when new at Ken Smith F/LM in Ridgewood, New Jersey, so no body cancer, save for the two lower inside door lips that have to be cut open and replaced.

Nice! I couldn't imagine living in the city with my car. I feel like everyone would be trying to dent it. Too claustrophobic for me. haha

    Why the Florida plates?

Yes cars do get F-ed up in the city! I had a '79 Crown Vic that was eaten up on the street, not only dents.....the pollution ate the dam paint, and the windshield became etched when window washers on one of the buildings tossed some chemical on the car that killed the glass!..Have a place in Fla to hide in when the Apple gets too intense Where on LI are you?

Oh wow that's intense! Did you ever get money for the windshield? That sounds like it could have been a possible lawsuit.

Gotcha. Yeah, I see a lot of Florida plates on the island and always wondered why there was a large amount of Florida cars up here. I guess insurance is much cheaper down there too.

I'm out in Suffolk county. Currently I'm living in the town of Babylon. It's about as close to the "hustle and bustle" that I'd like to go.

That's gotta be a sight to see in NYC; a box Panther among the whales and imports. I contemplated taking the CV there, but I am afraid of the road conditions.

LOL!.....so many people ask me about the car, not believing it still runs! Most give kind comments and bemoan all the Jap rice burners!
here is a true story.....last yr while crossing the 59th St Bridge a small Jap "green' machine ran a little bit too close in my turn lane, the edge of my front bumper caught his front fender all the way back to the rear q panel.....just a small mark on my bumper, but the green machine.....I hate to laugh here, but about 2K dollars in damage!....I was found not responsible. Nothing like having a ride that weighs almost 4K pounds!
