I never made one of these for this car, so I guess I'll make this a catch all for anything and everything related to my coupe.

*Background:
-I bought this car from GMGT (Tom; site founder) in November of 2010. I believe it was delivered to me on the 6th (I had it shipped up from Tom's, in Alabama). It was in poor running condition, with a half finished carb swap.
-The car was previously owned by Scottmang (lincolnmania), and the original build (engine, drivetrain, suspension, slicktop, etc) was done by Scott and Company at his Pennsylvania shop.
-I had visted Scott's shop numerous times during the build (for meets, etc), and had seen the car before. I believe it was SF09 that Tom took me for a ride in the car, when it wasn't even painted yet.
-In Feb/ March of 2010, we had a Quaker Steak and Lube meet (showed up in my newly purchased half ton Dodge), where I saw the coupe "finished", although plagued with EFI tuning/ drivability issues.
-The next time I saw it was when it was delivered to my brother's work, fresh off the car hauler, about 3 years ago.
After storing it for the first winter, I tore into the car in the spring of 2011. Pulled the engine and transmission, and prepared to complete the carb swap. I cleaned, detailed and painted the undercarriage, and engine bay. I made some performance upgrades to the fuel system (fully mechanical), and eliminated any trace of EFI. I added a performance valvebody and high stall converter, MSD distributor, mechanical secondary Holley carburetor, and prepared to regularly race the car at the track. I was shooting for a 13 second car, with Ford parts, in a streetable, sleeper configuration.
I became sidetracked with life (work, women, etc), and ended up buying a new 5.0 Mustang. The LTD was neglected, until I sold off the 5.0 and started putzing with it again. Thats where I'm at now. Future plans include a big block (385 series) swap, and a 5 speed.
Specs are as follows:
*Chassis*:
-ES poly body mounts
-ES control arm bushings throughout
-HD shocks
-900 in/lb F, 225 in/lb rear Tru- Coil springs
-Police sway bars
-Big brake swap
-Rear disks
-Late model P71 steering box
-Trunk mount battery
*Body*:
-'79 apperance package
-Slicktop conversion
-18x9, 18x10 Anthracite Bullits; 275 40 18 Nitto 555s, 305 45 18 NT05R DRs.
*Engine*:
-.020 over '97 302
-GT40P heads, minor bowl work
-Early SD HO cam, installed straight up, measured and degreed
-Edelbrock Performer RPM Air Gap Intake
-Holley 600 DP
-FRPP headers
-Mustang pipes, Impala tails, Flowmaster single chamber mufflers
-Electric fans
*Drivetrain*:
-AOD, rebuilt by Brian
-Stacked plate cooler, with AN lines
-Dirty Dog 3600 stall NLU converter
-Silverfox VB, with selectable OD
-B&M +3 qt pan (it hangs low)
-8.8, with 3.73s, and a fresh 8 cloutch trac lok
Its very neat, clean, and subtle. The interior is stock, with a small Autometer tach, trans temp, water temp, oil pressure and volts gauges. Theres an aftermarket head unit, but I removed the subs and amps. The underhood wiring has been stripped and organized; lightweight seatbelts have been added (no more shoulder belts), and sound deadening has been removed. The entire A/C system has been removed (evaporator core too). Lightweight police bucket seats, and no unecessary equipment is present.
