        Indeed. I used to tell people I had about 10 grand in my car, but that was before the paint. Its probably more like 15 grand now but I really don't know. Or want to know for that matter. Way too damn much for a $100 car though.

            How far ahead prior to installation should they be greased? Should I order the parts and have the mechanic grease them 2 weeks prior?

              Greasing them 2 weeks prior might be a stretch. When the mechanic has your Merc on the hoist and the parts on hand is what I was thinking.

                  LOL Yeah, I'd drop over dead, but only after multiple blows to the head from my wife!

                  I'll only add up the receipts if I ever sell my car and am trying to convince the buyer he's getting a good deal.

                    We had an issue with members throwing temper tantrums and deleting tech related info out of their own threads. Those days are over though. So it's not to bust anyone's balls, but to preserve information.

                            Latest repair completed (today): Replaced front rotors and bearings. I no longer get a foot massage whenever braking.

                            The front rotors were from the factory and were clogged with debris and stuff.
