    Kelly, the 84 MGM 2-door

1984 Mercury Grand Marquis LS 2 door sedan/302 cfi/87,300 miles
I found kelly parked under a tree in a trailer park in Jacksonville,FL, with flat tires, no working lights and an electrical nightmare under the hood. I bought her for $900. I've done a lot of much needed maintenance work so far but I haven't made any major modifications other than running straight pipes future plans include a SEFI build and a 6 speed conversion.

Save you self a lot of time, energy, and money forget about the 6 speed. Stick with a 5 speed, 6's are useless. Honestly who needs double overdrive where are you going to cruse at fast enough to need it?

Nice box!!! What color is that? My eyes are playing tricks on me today and it looks almost salmon to me.

my 93 could use a 6-speed now. I miss my 70-80mph gas mileage.

Maybe a six speed would be good with a smaller gear in the rear?

I already have the six speed from a former project, and I drive the car from new york to florida multiple times a year, so I see no disadvantages :p

Well, if you already have the parts, why not!? Nice tudor. My brother had an '83 for his first car and I think it was the same shade of butter/yellow/tan.
