Anabelle - 1989 Lincoln Town Car 306 - the rebirth

Hey guys, just been a while since I updated anything on my 1989 Town Car Anabelle. At my tech school, I am currently in the process of swapping transmissions to a low mileage Mark VII AOD, replacing the power steering pump, and rebuilding the front end with new upper and lower ball joints, front ES polybushings, upper control arms, springs, brake lines, and the Big Brake conversion. She has been sitting for a while and she really deserved this overhaul. After this the only thing that will need work is the HVAC system and one power window. Now onto the pictures:

Burning out the old bushings, that was fun!

    Cleaning up the shells

    Finished control arm

    Getting towed to school

New lower balljoints, upper control arms and ball joints, and the 98-02 brake lines with Napa std-metric adapter. Fits perfectly!

That's all I got for now, but I'll keep this updated with progress.

Don't forget to swap the shift linkage and TV levers on your new trans with the ones from your old trans! It won't work otherwise.

Beautiful! I love the look of the clear corner lenses over the amber ones. I also really like how the wheels look on the car.

Right now just a stock Mustang 5.0L HO roller cam from 87-93, needs something more aggressive for sure. Might ditch the roller rockers and get better valve springs and run an E303 or something.

Nicely done!!! I wish I went the big brake route when I rebuilt the front end on the CV. Perhaps when I kill the winter tires and switch over to steelie 17" wheels.

they look in good enough shape, if a bit dirty. No real need to cut them unless they are warped or grooved.
