time for an update my lincoln is now smog shit free it feels a little peppier now. all smog stuff is removed except for the tubes that go to the back of th eneads which will be removed once i get the GT40P heads bolted on. vac lines are plugged. i noticed i left one of the vacuum lines unplugged near the brake booster on this 3 way tee and the cruise control didnt work so i hope after i plug it i should regain cruise control as cruis control even though mine is integrated into the ecm it still should have a vacuum operated part too.

cruise control works again and i think i found out today that my water pump developed a small leak on the bottom. great i fricken hate doing water pumps on these cars. should i get remanufactered or brand new one. i am hoping the leak doesnt get worse until i switch out the cam.Last edited by MattsLincoln; 01-04-2012, 11:58 PM.

Hey matt check ebay out first. My car being pre 89 had the HD pump from the factory. But I got a new not reman motorcraft pump off ebay for $15 with free shipping and it even came with the extra two bolts for the HD pump.Comment

thought I had a leak on my 88's water pump. upper radiator hose needed to be tightened. Check all the hoses first. Tighten up the clamps and run it a few days. If the leak is still there... THEN change the pump.

i gonna contact doug about them. also checked it out today on a lift it's definitely the water pump leaking from the weep hole so fuckkkkkkk why does this happen in the winter. im gonna freeze my ass off doing this but i have no other choice. so i plan to replace the water pump, hoses, and fan clutch. im not bullshitting with the timing chain cover because i dont have a harmonic pulley puller.
