I have two '87s, and unless their A/C tensioner pulleys are unoriginal, they came with metal.

That reminds me, I gotta replace mine, it's making a lovely squeaking noise that's getting on my nerves. It's not the belt, cause it does it when I have already tightened the belt. I don't want to replace it because the replacement pulleys are plastic.

As for the power steering pump pulley. What's the part number on the plastic shit?

Hmm plastic pulley does seem strange i know for a fact my 88 has a metal pulley. Maybe it was a town car only thing? Who knows?

john: just replace the bearing in the pulley, assuming yours is one that will unbolt from the tensioner. Its probably a common size and would likely be cheaper to rebuild it than replace it with one of the plastic crappers.

if your not sure if yours is metal or not send me a pic of it through pm and i will gladly tell you. the 2 pulleys look very different though. see how the metal pulley has no star lines coming out around it like the plastic one.
