    Finally joined the 92+ crowd.

    Yup it's true, I finally got a 4.6 powered Vic as a family/travel/sunday car.
It will eventually replace my wife's Taurus as a work car when it dies, but for now, it's getting pampered.

I really didn't want to dig into our account for a car right now, but with the Hillbilly SUV down, and my wife's car well over 200k (which she uses for work) it was time to get something as a backup.

It's a 99 base model (not a p71) with 146k on it, I picked up for $3500 which is more than I really wanted to pay for a car with that many miles but it had a lot going for it. The transmission has 35k on it. The intake has been updated, and it's recently got new ball joints. No rust whatsoever, and it's undercoated.

Also by far it is the most well kept car I've run across. It wasn't detailed when I got it, but other than a miniscule bit of dust and a few pieces of paper, it was spotless. The engine was dusty, but otherwise spotless.

My wife fell in love with it the moment she laid eyes on it. She didn't even bother to drive it. LOL.

Anyway, I know a thread like this is worthless without pics, so here they are.

(note, the guy I bought it from works for the local bmw dealer, hence the floormats. Rest assured they will soon be replaced with something more appropriate)

146k on one of those is peanuts. Looks like it was well kept, and thats quite a bit more important than total mileage.
