I'm thinking it needs some more accelerator pump shot.

...and I have no Box CV body parts available through NAPA, anyway.

I agree with Pirate on the tip-in stumble.

Surprised it rides hard on those 16" wheels. Is it an impact harshness issue, or an overly aggressive spring/damper issue? What does it have under there again?

925# Springs front, 225# springs rear and KYB Gas-a-just shocks all around..

as per Toms write up on the vehicle.

I have a similar set up arriving Looking forward to the harshness.

I ALWAYS loved the "Harshness" the car had. Sure was flat in the corners!

Hell yeah... I rode in it, its not bad. Grandma might think the ride is too rough, but it seemed just right to me.
I was very surprised how well it handled with 215/65/17 tires on it, and I think they were just OE tires too.

oddly enough I actually didn't think it was all that harsh, and I'm currently displeased with how my car rides with stock springs and truck shocks in the back. I have to admit I was expecting it to be vastly worse than it actually was. Its definitely stiffer than a stock set of springs though.

Maybe a smaller shot on the boosters would help also ( shrugs shoulders ) or am I thinking backwards?

And if anyone has, or knows of a set of NOS fenders... I am looking for them.

Do they make reproductions for these cars?
I had a guy insist once that I could "just buy a new one", but I suspect he was used to working on stuff for which folks actually make reproduction fenders.

So what's wrong with the fenders on that car?

I just tossed my old rear police springs in the back of the lightweight '81 two-door, and it seems promising. Planning to add the cut fronts from the wagon up front, which I calculated to about 410 lb/in. Interestingly, the P72 is riding and handling quite well with the stock cop springs on the front and wagon springs on the rear.

I just have to remember I have stock control arm bushings..not stock from 87 but whenever my dad replaced everything.

Shot? Booster? Two different things there.

This carb is able to use the Holley pump cam kits, right? That'd make the process a little nicer than with my outdated Carter junk.
