    Here's my set of 01's

Hey guys, figured I should show the forum what I am working with.

This is my new (to me) Marq.

    2001 Mercury Grand Marquis GS
    Leather Interior
    Mileage: 38,500
    Paid: $4,700

I bought this car from a man that sold it for his elderly mother that became too unfit to drive. She was the original owner.

    Immediate plans:
    1. Window Tint
    2. Custom Stereo & Sub Box (I already have a RF Punch 12" & RF Amp to drop in, just need a nice new head unit)

    Long Term Plans:
    1. New Wheels & Tires (this car still has the original Michelins that are a bit dry rotted on the sidewalls, probably won't pass inspection next year)
    2. Engine Upgrades (Cold Air Intake, Performance Intake Manifold...I am open for inexpensive DIY mods if you have any suggestions)

    2001 Ford Mustang GT
    4.6L SOHC
    PI Intake Manifold
    Cold Air Intake
    Lowered Suspension

Wonder for the stang would look with a set of Merc hubcaps after swapping.

welcome to the forum, nice merc.

i have a couple questions about the new edge though. what do you mean "PI intake manifold?" and why is she being punished with those tail lights?

Those taillights. Need to go. Now.

For the GMQ, it's an 01, so it already has a PI Intake. And don't cheap out on it. MZT it.

So the GMQ has a PI? I would like to hear more about MZT, if you will.

I like the Merc but if I were you I would paint the wood grain and swap out the cluster for and interceptor cluster. Then steeliest Center caps and rings but that's just me lol.

Nice cars though, although I am up in the air about the tails on the stang.

its just that youve broken a cardinal rule in the mustang community. if you really dont like how the stockers look niteshade them and install a sequential kit. www.meter4it.com

so is it a slushbox or 5 speed?

I would entertain the idea of the interceptor cluster, if I knew a lil more about it. Any links?

I'll post some pics of the tails tmrw after I take a new night pics. You'll like em.

Yeah the guys on Mustangforums.com gave me shit as well. I'm happy tho. Is the sequential kit the black trim around the 3 sections per side? It's been so long since I even paid attention to a stock tail on a mustang.

It's a 5-speed. Do they make stangs in automatic?

Stock lights look awesome .. I've yet to see a car/truck that I liked the look of the 'euro' lights on. Around where I live, people think there truck is 'custom' when they put euro lights on it .. Every 88-98 Chevy/Gmc half ton has a set of them on its gross .. The clear front lights look great though.
