    1998 Crown Victoria Police Interceptor

Well SURPRISE!! I just picked this up, 98 CV P71. Shes a retired New Hampshire State Police car, has 170k on the clock, runs smooth, cloth seats front and rear, new Yokohama Avid tires on all 4 corners. Its my new daily driver. So where to start; drove it an hour home and been driving around my area for the past 3 days and still have not put a drop of gas into it, had 3/4's of a tank and now has a little below half, so I'm impressed. It still has somewhat of a new car smell, I think it might have been a supervisors car because the interior is so nice and it has cloth seats in rear not vinyl like most. I am the 3rd owner, I got it from the guy that bought it from the state auction in 2005. I've been driving her around for a few days now and its been fun.

The exterior is alright, the staties painted over the two-tone on the roof and hood with a cheap green and now its faded and looks pretty crappy. Also there is some rust repair on the fenders. Cool thing is you can still see where all the police decals were, "state police" on trunk "state trooper" on fenders and the insignia on the doors. I am kinda pissed because the spotlight was removed and the previous owner traded the original steelies for a set of Merc alloys becuase he was "tired of that police look" so I AM LOOKING FOR A SET OF STEEL WHEELS, I am willing to trade the Mercury wheels I have.

Its in pretty good shape mechanically, goes fine, no idiot lights. She's got a few slight issues though; the steering wheel has slack to it (wobbles a couple inches from side to side), second is a rattle in the front when I hit a bump, that seems to be from passenger side. The previous owner told me his garage said it needed tie-rods and maybe idler arms, but that the steering seemed tight underneath. I am just gonna have a look at the frond end with my dad, see whats going on.

Here are some teaser pics, I have a new set of headlights on the way. Also comming soon is; honeycomb grille, strobes, PI emblem, new spotlight, push bumper? and steel wheels. More pics soon!!!

Thanks for all the compliments mangs! Actually I didnt sell the Jeep, with the problems it has I am only gettin low balls (most offers under half of what I paid for it) and I refuse to take that much of a hit on it. So as of now its gonna be my mud truck, I have a set of 31" Mud Terrains that are going on it soon. So now I have 3 cars I bought this Vic purely with savings, now that I have a steady security job I am gettin some decent money.

Sweet!!! Now you can find a spot in the backyard and park the '87 so you can do work to it w/o having to worry about getting it back on the road.

Yea, my backyards pretty full lol my old mans got about 10 rusty tractors sittin around and my brothers Neon is parked back there (he is storing it until he can find the time to put a turbo on it) and 2 snowmobiles (my ZRT 600 and my dads old Ski Doo). I live in the woods so its not to big of a backyard to begin with haha.
