    Green Rocket! Green Rocket!

So, with some of the insurance money I got from my '91 Grand Marquis being totalled... I bought a '94 Ford Crown Victoria off my brother!

I used to think the dark green cars were ugly, but now that I have one, it's growing on me.

    Pics below.

Of course the first order of business was removing the yellow from the lenses... which I should have removed so I could get under the lens where it is rounded.

Brakes need some attention, it stalls at lights (gotta clean the O2 sensor(s) Windshield is cracked way high, not in the field of vision. Needs an O-ring for the A/C & a charge. Rear tint is bubbled all over, but I don't have to look at it because the rearview mirror fell off!

But Oh My Goodness will she move!

Ride & Handling package with dual stainless exhaust, AND awesome auto-levelling air-ride suspension (bags? I think).

Same stock stereo as my '94 Taurus I'm about to Junk... but who cares as I'll be using a tape adapter for my MP4 player! 16GB of driving tunes, I'll never have to stop (except for gas and pooping).

I'd say 'once you go Aero, you never go back,' but I don't want to make my Country Squire jealous!

I really enjoyed my '92 CV LX, which I owned for five years! The '93 GM I just sold served me very well. My current '92 CV TS is good despite some minor age-related issues.

Check the vacuum lines for the PCV system real good for vacuum leaks, they like to get mushy and open up, I've fixed many aeros at work this way.

Just pulled the LEDs from my Sequential Tail Light Kit I cut out of my silver '91 that went to fight in the Chinese Scrap Yard Wars.

Put them in, and had to go buy a flasher for it. Wound up with an electronic truck flasher that's taller than the old one so the cover doesn't go back on the fuse panel, I can live with it.

When I was switching the bulbs, I must've put a socket back wrong, because now, the outside right flashes for the turn signal, and middle left bulb flashes for that turn signal. I'm assuming the outermost bulbs on each side should be the ones flashing?

My A/C doesn't work because the Condenser is leaking, the shop quoted me $400 all in counting charge up, but I found another shop that will do the work and charge it for $165. The Condenser, I'm on the hook for though, $103 @ Rock Auto.

Thanks for the PCV tip, I think the error codes pointed to O2 sensor and my brother was too busy to take them out and clean them, or replace them.

            So far:

            All four rotors replaced.

            Driver Rear Window Regulator

Repaired the seat: Broken frame mount, it's not welded, but it's fixed for quite awhile.

            Oil change

            & Replaced a VAC TEE.

Seems the EGR valve is clogged and that's what's causing the CEL on my '94

I'm gonna put that repair off, because A/C is more important!

Hopefully I'll have the car back tonight!
