Progress! So, I got the one head off. You know, the ones I thought had the bent valves?
Well, I don't think I bent or broke anything other than those chains. Pistons look good. I haven't taken apart the heads yet, but I don't think I bent any valves. I will find out of course, when I send off the heads for port work.
Also, I went to the yard today, as I thought I was going to score parts of another Navigator that came into the yard! Of course, they hacked the fuck out of the truck in order to get the engine out. So, my trip was a bustLast edited by Grand Marquis GT; 01-29-2012, 06:38 PM.1983 Grand Marquis 2Dr Sedan "Mercules"

I worked on this heap a bit today.
I scored a 1967 aircleaner that I am going to modify and install in the place of that retarded looking stocker. I also have a solution for the oil blowing out of the breather. It's been solved
I got it firing on all 6 cylinders, and went to the scrappers to drop off some scrap aluminum I had laying around, and got some doors for the interior of my house. While I was at the scrappers they were admiring the old Ford, and these rednecks asked if it was for sale! No way, jose!
Eventful day!1983 Grand Marquis 2Dr Sedan "Mercules"

Never heard an I6 without at least one clattery lifter, and most have a couple. Don't rightly know why they do it, but they are some noisy damn motors.86 Lincoln Town Car (Galactica).
