Probably no blower though, but still suh-weet. Thought Navigators only had the CVPI engine.
I believe the Navigators were available with the 5.4L DOHC from late 99-2004. I think they were rated right around 300HP.

No supercharger just N.A. They didn't add the blower to the 5.4L DOHC until they released the GT and then the GT500.

        They were made 99-2004. They had 300 hp @ 5000 rpm, 355 ft lbs @ 2750 rpm.

Good price I guess. I'm just less than wowed with the notion of touching one of those modular engines ever again.

the 5.4 werent as bad as the crappy 4.6 which i despise. i would take a 5.4 over a 4.6 any day. though i would take the New 2013 5.8L over all them.

                  And I can sense that....
No need to shit on the 4.6 DOHC, kids. My Marauder is rated at 302/318 out of the box, FYI.
Oh, but the power potential from the 5.4 is fantastic.
Pick up a M122 blower from on of the Shelby guys.
                  Then, rock and roll.
I'm happy you snagged the 5.4 DOHC. I find it odd that the 4.6 SOHC and 5.4 SOHC share heads. I would have thought that Ford would make better heads for the bigger engine. But why do that when you can save money!
This will yield better fun results.

They did that with the 302 and 351 for a lot of years too, same horrible heads. Hey, if its insufficient for a 302, it ought to be good enough for an even bigger motor. We'll do that so it sucks more fuel and makes no more power. Yay.

I just ordered a 1999 EVTM for a Navigator, and am heading back to the yard to get the rest of the wiring harness/ECM/Fusebox/etc.

This is going to be a cool project.

I know. Thats because you have the DOHC. They have different heads. The SOHC motors have the same heads.
