Bumper acquired. $31.34 with tax and core. Beats the hell out of the aftermarket parts and shop labor.

For the bumper cover being as old as it is, one could have expected worse for getting hit at the speed it did. Looks pretty good with a new bumper bar installed. Slap some paint on it and call it a day.
Ford did a good job for the bumpers on the Aeros, FWIW. They kept a good 5 MPH bumper, and designed a nice bumper cover to go with it. I know after some particular year on the later cars Ford switched from an actual bumper to the egg carton style energy absorbing material instead. I wonder how well it works for lower speed impacts compared to the older setup.

Like it never happened!
I agree, those bumpers seem to be well designed. If that was a box bumper it would've need to be replaced. Guess that's why they call that the bumper "cover," cause you did have to replace the actual bumper and absorbers but it's great that those things took the brunt of it and left the frame straight.1985 LTD Crown Victoria - SOLD

Are those dual-intensity marker lights, or are they so ungodly bright that their single intensity is about as powerful as your standard 3157 bulb in "bright" mode? Also source/model#?
Your DRLs, how are they wired? My guess is that being LEDs they get direct key-on power from somewhere, then you have the juice running thru the 87a terminal of a 5-pole relay that gets triggered by the high beams? The ones who accomplish true greatness, are the foolish who keep pressing onward.

as for the DRL's, they are getting power from the headlight feed, for my relay mod, through a relay triggered by the EEC relay.
